Generosa Soil Topper & Terrarium Pebbles - Natural Cork Granules for Healthy Soil & Bioactive Ecosystems 1000ml

Generosa Soil Topper & Terrarium Pebbles - Natural Cork Granules for Healthy Soil & Bioactive Ecosystems 1000ml

Naturally Mould & Rot Resistant: Powered by suberin, a waxy biopolymer that naturally repels water and prevents the development of mould or rot, even in 90-100% humidity environments.

The Ultimate Bioactive Media: The textured, irregular surface of cork pebbles creates a perfect micro-habitat for beneficial microfauna like isopods and springtails, supporting a self-cleaning ecosystem.

Ultra Lightweight: Approximately 60% lighter than traditional clay pebbles (LECA) or river rocks, it is the ideal choice for glass terrariums and large planters while making handling easier and safer.

Precision Aeration Matrix: The honeycomb cellular structure prevents soil compaction and ensures oxygen reaches plant roots, effectively stopping root rot before it starts.

Fungus Gnat Fortress: When used as a topper, it creates a dry, chemical-free barrier that prevents adult fungus gnats from reaching moist soil to lay eggs.

Ingredients

100% cork granules (3-8 mm).

Size

1000 ml

How to use

1. For Houseplants (Soil Topper): Spread a 1–2 cm layer over the surface of the potting mix to regulate moisture and deter pests. Pro-Tip: Use a fine-spout watering can or "bottom watering" to prevent the lightweight pebbles from shifting.

2. For Terrariums (Drainage Layer / False Bottom): Replace heavy clay pebbles with a 5 cm base layer of cork pebbles.
Cover with a mesh barrier before adding soil to create a "bio-active reservoir" that protects against waterlogging.

3. For Bioactive Setups (Substrate Amendment): Mix at a ratio of 30% cork to 70% soil/coco-coir. This prevents the substrate from settling and creates permanent air pockets for roots and microfauna.

4. For Orchids & Epiphytes: Use as a high-drainage "bark" alternative. The pH-neutral granules provide the stability of stone with the moisture-wicking properties of natural bark.

Why you should nurture your plants?

Plants don’t just live on light and water!
In the wild, plants can look and reach for nutrients in the soil, but in our homes, they live confined to pots. You will have to take care of them yourself, adding the necessary nutrients so they can grow and stay healthy for many years.
