NATURAL INSECTICIDE FOR PLANTS

Leaf Protector

WHAT IS IT?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants is a blend of hydrophobic clarified neem oil extract with olive oil and lavender essential oil. Hydrophobic clarified neem oil extract is a derivative of neem, a substance obtained from the seeds of the Azadirachta indica tree. This oil is a product of treating neem with alcohol to extract azadirachtin. These two substances have different characteristics and properties.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants is also a natural fungicide and repellent. It eliminates insects such as aphids, whiteflies, mites, mealybugs, and thrips, some of the most common pests of house plants. This mixture of neem oil also eliminates fungus and controls its proliferation. Its repellent properties help protect plants from further pest attacks.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants is a dark brown oily product. Its natural character can lead to slight variations in appearance and consistency between different batches. This in no way compromises its effectiveness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

LEAF PROTECTOR - natural insecticide for plants acts as a contact insecticide against soft-bodied insects, including the main pests of house plants (aphids, whiteflies, mites, mealybugs, and thrips).

This means that the LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants has to come into contact with the insects to interfere with their respiratory mechanism and cause their death by asphyxiation. It is also effective in controlling fungi by interfering with mycelial growth.

Although it has been used for centuries for its insecticidal, fungicidal, and repellent properties, the mode of action of the clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil is still not completely understood due to the complexity of its composition.

The olive oil in the mixture aims to assist in pourability. Lavender oil makes its scent more pleasant.

HOW SHOULD I APPLY IT?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants must be applied in diluted form. Use a sprayer to apply the diluted product directly to visible insects and fungi on the plant. Inspect stems, leaf bases, and the inside of young shoots. Ensure good coverage of all visible insects and fungi.

Leave the LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants to work for no more than 2 hours and remove excess product, insects, fungi, and other residues with a clean cloth or kitchen paper. A soft toothbrush can be used to reach more difficult-to-reach areas.

In plants with small and abundant leaves or plants that are very attacked, a shower can be used for a quicker and more efficient washing of the plant with lukewarm water. Do not use the same cloth or paper on different plants to avoid the passage of insects between plants.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE ITS DILUTION IN WATER?

Shake the LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants.
Warm the product slightly between hands to regain the necessary pourability for dosing by dropper. When exposed to low temperatures, LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants can become soft butter. It may be required to resort to a short soak in warm water.
Add one drop of liquid soap to the water to ensure that the oil is distributed in the water (the formation of an emulsion). Apply using a sprayer.

Discard the prepared emulsion after 48 hours.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants must be used diluted in water, in a proportion of 0.5 ml of product for every 100 ml of water (0.5%). Dilute five drops from the drip bottle for every 100 ml of water. This oily mixture is not diluted directly with water, so add a drop of liquid soap to allow an emulsion to form.

HOW FREQUENTLY SHOULD I APPLY IT?

LEAF PROTECTOR natural insecticide for plants should be used when insects or fungi are detected on the plant.

Insects and fungi control: weekly until insects and fungi are eliminated. It can be used preventively after treatment to prevent a recurrence.

Preventively: Monthly during the six months following pest control.

When an infected plant is detected, it must be immediately isolated from the other plants and placed in quarantine, guaranteeing the best conditions for its light and temperature needs. It is recommended to preventively treat the plants present in the vicinity of the affected plant.

ORGANIC FERTILIZER

Soil Booster

WHAT IS IT?

SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer is a 100% natural organic fertilizer. It is a by-product resulting from the bioconversion of agro-industrial residues by the controlled action of the insect Hermetia illuscens, in an economic circularity process. It is a product rich in organic matter and nutritionally balanced, containing plants' main macro and micronutrients.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer feeds the potting soil replenishing it with the nutrients most important for the plants. Its high organic matter content improves the structure of the potting soil, maintaining good water retention capacity and adequate aeration. It also has a positive effect on the natural defense of plants.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer is a loose dry mix, dark brown with a tendentially sweet odor, with some notes of acidity, sometimes ureic. As a by-product of a bioproduction process in a circular economy, its appearance and smell may vary between batches. This in no way compromises its effectiveness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Its composition, rich in humic and fulvic acids, promotes a balanced microbiological activity that converts the nutrients contained in organic matter into accessible forms for plants over time, following the needs of the plants. Its organic nature is directly responsible for maintaining the good physical structure of the potting soil, favoring a good water retention capacity and adequate aeration.

There is evidence that the chitin residues contained in SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer also trigger a response on the part of the plant, stimulating some of its natural defenses. It is assumed that the presence of chitin, a natural polymer present in the body of some insects, is perceived as a threat by the plant.

HOW SHOULD I APPLY IT?

The organic fertilizer SOIL BOOSTER must be spread over the surface of the potting soil, around the plant, and involved with the help of a small shovel or a rake.

Given the natural variability of SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer, sometimes more powdery, it is recommended to use a mask when applying it to people more sensitive to dust.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE?

The recommended dose for SOIL BOOSTER organic fertilizer varies with pot size and uncovered potting soil surface area. It is recommended to cover all exposed potting soil surfaces with a thin layer (0.5 cm).

POTTING SOIL

Soil Freshener

WHAT IS IT?

SOIL FRESHENER potting soil is a mixture of coconut fiber, organic fertilizer, and vermiculite.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

SOIL FRESHENER potting soil is perfect as an additional fresh potting soil needed when transplanting house plants into larger pots. It is also good to renovate the top layer of aged potting soils in large plant pots, which are difficult to transplant.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

SOIL FRESHENER potting soil is a brown loose mixture, with a fine granulometry, and with an earthy odor.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The three constituents of the SOIL FRESHENER potting soil, with their functionalities, together mimic the physical and biochemical conditions of the natural soil.

In addition to its structural component that ensures physical support for plant roots, coconut fiber has a good water retention capacity and is highly porous, allowing air circulation in the potting soil and keeping plant roots oxygenated.

Organic fertilizer is the long-term storehouse of vital plant nutrients and provides an ideal environment for the growth of beneficial microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. These microorganisms help break down organic matter releasing nutrients for plants and helping protect plants against pathogens and disease.

Vermiculite can absorb large amounts of water, keeping it available and yields to the plants when needed. Its highly porous structure contributes to reducing potting soil compaction.

HOW SHOULD I APPLY IT?

Application during repotting:
Remove the plant to be repotted from the pot and loosen the roots by gently rubbing the root ball with your hand.
Place a layer of SOIL FRESHENER potting soil on the bottom of the new pot. The thickness of this layer is variable and depends on the dimensions of the plant and the plant pot. It should be enough to raise the base of the repotted plant to a height close to the edge of the plant pot (0.5 to 3 cm below).
Once the plant has been placed in the center of the pot, the space between the pot wall and the root ball around the plant should be carefully filled in, ensuring no empty spaces are left.

Replacement of aged potting soil:
Carefully remove the top layer of aged potting soil, 2-3 cm, and fill with SOIL FRESHENER potting soil.

WHAT IS ITS YIELD?

2000 ml pack of SOIL FRESHENER potting soil, when applied as recommended, will be enough to use on approximately five medium plants (pots with diameters from 12 to 15 cm) or in one large plant (pot with diameters from 27 cm).

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE USING IT?

The organic nature and the rich microbiological activity of the SOIL FRESHENER potting soil can promote the development of a mild beneficial white fungus that is quickly incorporated into the mix when stirred. This poses no risk to people, animals or plants.

DOES IT PRESENT RISKS TO PEOPLE OR ANIMALS?

SOIL FRESHENER potting soil does not pose any risks to the health of people and animals.

DOES IT PRESENT A RISK TO THE ENVIRONMENT?

SOIL FRESHENER potting soil does not pose any risks to the environment.

HOW SHOULD I STORE IT?

Keep the SOIL FRESHENER potting soil in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

WHAT MAKES IT A SUSTAINABLE PRODUCT?

The SOIL FRESHENER potting soil does not contain peat, a common material used for plant-based potting mixes production. Peat is currently considered an unsustainable material as it is responsible for the biodiversity loss of plants and animals in the areas where it is exploited. Its extraction releases considerable amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In the composition of the SOIL FRESHENER potting soil, peat has been replaced by coconut fiber, a by-product of the coconut industry, a renewable material with the lowest environmental impact.
