IS MY PLANT CRYING?

IS MY PLANT CRYING?

Sometimes, it is normal to see small drops on the surface of the leaves of your plants.

The good news is your plant isn't crying!

Plants transpire, just like us. It's a natural phenomenon. However, sometimes they “pull” more water than they really need, from the roots and this excess comes out through the leaves and ends up being deposited.

This phenomenon is called guttation.

Guttation only happens under certain conditions, such as high relative humidity, excess water in the roots, or low transpiration rates.

Being a natural process, there is, in principle, no cause for concern. However, it is important to ensure that this does not happen because you have watered your plant too much.
